Start a corporate wide food drive or inter-staff competition or B2B competition.

For example, in 2008 the Father Fred Foundation enjoyed the fruits of a beard growing contest between Hagerty Insurance employees. Four employees at a local accounting firm organized an in-office food drive, another local firm donated all the pop can money generated in their break room, 7 local banks got together to have a friendly competition to collect cans of food for the Foundation, a hockey team took two dollars off of their playoff ticket price to benefit the Foundation’s food pantry, etc.

The number of ways to help the work of Father Fred is limitless.

The Foundation is a non-profit charity providing the following services: 1) funds to meet emergency needs; 2) food from the largest food pantry in Northern Michigan; and 3) quality clothing, furniture and household goods at no cost. In addition, the Foundation strives to treat all clients with respect and encourage hope for their future.
