How Can you Help?

  1. Volunteer. The drive will utilize the energy of over 100 volunteers. They will be passing out flyers and packing food at participating locations: Garfield Centre, Tom's in Acme, Oleson's at Three Mile and Hammond, and Glen's at Chums Corners. Call Sue Bauer, Volunteer Coordinator, at (231) 947-2055 ext. 34 or e-mail sbauer@fatherfred.org.
  2. Donate Food or Cash. Between February 3rd – 12th, leave your food donation at one of the locations on this page. Too busy to shop? Click here to donate online or mail a check to The Father Fred Foundation, P.O. Box 2260, Traverse City, MI 49685-2260..
  3. Organize a Church Bag Drive. These are simple to organize and can generate a surprising amount of food. All it takes is a youth or adult to pass out grocery bags on Sunday as parishioners are leaving church and collect them the following Sunday when kids and families bring their bags back full of non-perishable items. We supply the bags, a flyer listing items needed most, and a pick up if transportation of the food is needed.  Call Norm Bamberg at 231-947-2055 ext 16 or email nbamberg@fatherfred.org.
  4. Share the Food Drive with your friends!. Click here for banners and links to share on your website or on Facebook!
